ANOTHER FORMER RUNNER

Once again knowing "former runners"
Imo,there's alot I can try to teach, alot you may be able to learn.
But knowing these is done by hard work on your own.
Running the scans nightly, back charting them looking for way more than their fair share of big white candles, scanning the hod list intraday if you have that feature.

[Fri Jan 23_14:55:31 ] Muddy oldie LLNW at 2.5 pop

[Fri Jan 23_14:55:54 ] Muddy vol spike too

Notice I said,OLDIE

That means it's a runner from back in past on pops, then we get a volume spike to boot

[Fri Jan 23_15:01:59 ] Laura LLNW vol more than doubled since first call

Fri Jan 23_15:20:00 ] bmon LLNW 3 break

[Fri Jan 23_15:20:01 ] Blz LLNW going nuts

It went on to hit a hod of 3.35.

And btw, LLNW was on no scan I had nor pre-market. It was simply found on the Scottrade high of day list.

here's the chart:

THE CHAT...IT'S GETTING EVEN BETTER

We've had about the same crew in chat now for a few months.
And a great crew it is...
The neat thing is alot of us over this time have begun to think and act alike.
This is the value of "same old, same old"!
A bunch of us get the same "feel" off the premarket list, you can see it in premarket discussions.
You can see it during market hours and it's a great thing that just seems to be getting better.

For instance IL put up this great comment..
[Thu Jan 22_11:10:00 EST 2009] InvestorsLive BPOP sideways, watching this one for the break/hold of $3.20

I thought the exact same thing, plus on pm I had 3 other folks say the same to me,you look at the 1 or 5 min chart it was screaming short me there, imo.
So many other examples..to those who left us,good luck sincerely,to those of you that stayed with us,I really think this "community" will only get better

To the folks that have hung with us,we plan a bunch of seminars and remember,I'm available on pm during the day,I try to get back to you ASAP.
We want you to succeed, that is the bottom line.

Oh and, listen to GS in our afterhours chat discussions
This is gold stuff from him...we are open 24/7/52

MY TAKE.....Tim Syke's Pennystocking Part Deux Review

Laura and I watched this together...I agree on all points she made...
I'll add this,to me this DVD was a playground,I loved the charts and the stocks he talked about in those charts.
Why,because I remember those runs and know every last one of them.
Certainly you won't unless you follow stocks as much as I do,but the point is Tim knows exactly which stocks and charts to use as examples.
That to me says a lot about his reputation...no junk here...just the best examples to learn from.
Being gonzo myself,I really liked the part where he talks "Boring Breakouts" and choppy messy charts.
Just as I feel,Tim feels the same way.
The stocks/charts he uses as examples of these are dead on...we are looking for potential big movers, not yawners...Tim does a great job here with these.

One thing I have to disagree with is he says his niche isn't really scalable.
Ok,I understand he is looking for the "Super plays" and that is correct if you just look for those because there are so few,it's not scalable in that vein.
But here is the thing to me,which to me makes his niche so awesome.....IF you can master getting into Tim's head, how he looks at this angle you CAN make it scalable.
By this I mean one doesn't need just the Super Play...
Myself I can find a few dozen a week off his angle that in essence aren't Super but way good enough on the risk/reward side, both long and short.
Remember,Super Plays don't always pan out,nothing is 100%.
What I'm saying If you understand this niche, imo,you can find a bunch of others that give you great possible trades.
To me this is even a greater testimonial to this DVD.
You work hard, learn your stocks and the patterns Tim describes (just on a lesser scale in relation to their breakouts/runs) daytrade them,I say you can scale this into big time cash.
Funny but I don't even think Tim realizes what a gold mine this can be to an EXPERIENCED trader who comes close to mastering this niche he has.
In closing, this DVD is worth every penny,imo....it's a dark corner of the trading world, one that he brings to light.

Tim Sykes' Pennystocking Part Deux Review

Timothy Sykes' Pennystocking Part Deux educational trading DVD utilizes many charts to illustrate when to short and yes, when to buy these often manipulated stocks. The beginning of the DVD covers some basics such as the importance of risk management and then moves on to cover when to buy penny stocks. He reviews how to spot breakouts and the various types of breakouts such as technical, manipulation, and squeeze breakouts. Tim uses many chart examples to show you how to recognize and buy into the breakout. An important point he hammers home is that these breakouts can be very strong at times so don’t short into strength just because you think it can’t go higher. It can, it may.

The next lesson moves on to how and when to short and the chart patterns to look for. He shows you how to spot the breakdown, afternoon fade, volume fading, message board chatter dwindles etc. Once again, with dozens of charts, he shows you the exact things to look for on the chart such as waiting for the first red day. Tim does a nice job with the charts of illustrating that most of the breakdowns have similar characteristics. He then reviews when to cut losses and take profits.

Discs 2-3 dig much deeper into breakouts and super-novas. He uses some of the same stock charts from the lessons on Disc 1 and goes into more detail (and a lot more intraday charting) on morning spike patterns and how to play the super-nova pattern. He discusses the reasons why the breakout is occurring and which breakouts to avoid such as a fundamental breakout on good earnings. He also covers how to spot support and resistance in a simple, not overly technical, way. Disc 4 continues covering the breakouts, particularly ones caused by stock pumpers, spam mailers and PR. Dozens more charts show the signals to watch for to go long and the time to short. Tim reviews and sums up the key points of trading at the end.

If you’ve ever been afraid to buy a breakout because it already looked too high, or ever shorted too soon and gotten squeezed as the stock continues upwards, then Pennystocking Part Deux will definitely help you decipher the charts and understand that the movements are not random. There are reasons for the way these stocks move and Tim does a great job revealing those reasons in an easy to understand way.

Overall a very good value for new and experienced traders alike, packed with lessons on how to trade these volatile pennies. For more information on Tim’s instructional DVDs, click the Tim link in the right sidebar of the blog.

Last night we had an awesome seminar,4hrs long with a few moderators staying in there almost 6 hours!
Next week we do the same thing.
I've got nothing but POSITIVE comments from many folks on how well it was run and how each of us mods tried to answer in detail every question on our method that was brought up.....

I never really responded to the negative comments here on the blog about us going pay because that's your opinion...and I'll respect that, even though many never understood the facts on this issue.

But 2 I will respond to right here are:
(1) We will lose 90% of our 300 chat base...watch,ok,anon,watch!
(2) To the lady who lost her respect for me...so be it,you don't know the facts,I'd like to say I care what you think...but since you don't know the facts...I DON'T

A REALLY INSIGHTFUL POST

This post here, to me it hits it.
Things have changed the last month, momo's keep going, going more than many ever think AND when they do breakdown some, they pick their selves up,dust themselves off and take off again.
The ones that do breakdown and keep going down are very mind boggeling slow many times.
Read my comment to this blogger that has picked up the trend change now, that's how you do it,go with the flow...don't fight it

WATCHES 1/12

Remember these are short BIASED,but it's not to say some will turn out to be great longs Monday.
These are stocks driven by momentum on some sort of catalyst, whether it be e/r,pump,press release by the company,rumor/msg board chatter, etc.
Until that catalyst wears off the momo can continue.
We are waiting for the breakdown to begin...once it does often you can stick a fork in it...it's done

Late hits and premarket watches will be another big topic in our seminars.
I talked about these Q kind in afterhours in chat the other night...
I've been following these Q kind since 6 years ago in my old chat...you may only get a few plays a month off this angle but powerful they can be.

Stuff like the Q ones and late pre hits, just a couple other little followed factors often overlooked by the masses, especially you newer to trading...but hear me now, believe me later, ones that give you an EDGE over tons of folks, angles you want in your toolbox!

NEW SCAN FOR THE NEW YEAR.....THE NEW SCAN/MODIFIED 8%/10% LOSERS and FAILS

Over here on GOTS I've made an edit to Mikes "I'm Gonna Try" post.
Here on Darkside,if it proves popular,I will post the top watches I get off it nightly.
The scan is run by us to show those from $1 to $15 then price is changed to .20 to $1
This is done because the difference in the values in these 2 price ranges are quite huge and as in apples to oranges, can't be compared to each other, hence keeping both price scans separate.
What this scan shows are the stocks that have been sold off in the last day or 2 or more but have run 10%+ a great deal more than the average stock(the scan written by the TheRumpledOne,a play off his RFR scan).
Added to it is the column for ADR(10)
Now we add the number of times the stock has run 10%+ in the last 100 days to the ADR(10) of the stock, giving us a point total of the 2.
For ease, the stocks are then ranked in order of highest point total from top to bottom.
Note that anything on the $1 to $15 scan above 30 point total is very good
On the .20 to $1,over 50 pt is very good.
Please note that the 30 and 50 pt totals, considered very good now,can change week to week depending on the volatility of the market,i.e. if market volatility goes up these pt values will rise to be considered very good.
If market volatility goes down, then a lower pt value will be considered as very good to make the cut.

If you want to check yesterdays and look at the charts to see what kind of stocks they bring up,here are yesterdays watches with their pt values and % gains/losses results:
